Vassum Shells (Vasum Turbinellus).
These shells are fairly common in Indo Pacific waters and are predatory sea snails with a thick shell and vase shaped. The shell is yellowish white and chestnut-black, stained and obscurely banded. The aperture is yellowish white. The border of the outer lip is black-spotted. They are more suited to a larger type of Hermit Crab such as the Electric Blue Leg Hermit, the shells are fairly heavy compared to other shells.
Natural seashells that are great for offering Hermit Crabs new homes. These ones are sized at approximately 5 - 7cm. These ones are large and therefore better for substantially sized Hermit Crabs. These shells have a large opening of approximately 2 - 3cm.
You will receive 3 shells at an approximate length from point to point of 5 - 7cm. Colour and shape of the shells will vary slightly from the one pictured.
