Magnus Cone x3 and Luhu / Strawberry Conch x3 Shells
3 x Magnus Cone Snail Shells Hermit Crab shells approximately 5cm and 3 x Strawberry Conch Shells approximately 4 - 5cm.
Natural seashells that are great for offering Hermit Crabs new homes. These Magnus Cone ones are sized at approximately 5cm and the Strawberry Conch ones are approximately 4 - 5 cm. These shells are large and therefore better for substantially sized Hermit Crabs, particularly Halloween hermit crabs. These shells have a large opening of approximately 4 - 5 cm.
Cone shaped shells like these are seemingly more favourable to Halloween hermit crabs, photos 7, 8 and 9 are of Halloween Hermit Crabs in my own tank, setting up home in a new shell (Magnus Cone Shell).
The external color of the shell can be either white with an orange, brown/tan pattern of blotches, or completely brown/white. The interior is usually colored strong orange, red or pink, and the inner lip border is black or chocolate brown.
Conomurex luhuanus, commonly known as the Strawberry Conch or Tiger Conch, is a species of medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Strombidae the true conch's. Conomurex luhuanus is found in a sandy habitat among corals in the Indopacific region.
The shell of the Luhu Conch ranges from a more common length of 5 cm, to a maximum length of 8 cm. (If any specimens larger than 5cm are available, they will be listed as a seperate product).
Magnus Cone shells are generally found in warm shallow waters where between 400 to 500 species have been identified. Many of the shells are much prized for their striped and speckled markings.
